Mystery 1 — Beach Dwellers

Look at the animals and shells on the sandy beach. What do you notice?
2.
How often do the various shells, crabs and starfish appear?
3.
The item on the sandy beach you are looking for appears only once.
Solution

Mystery 2 — Rock Carvings

1.
Look closely at the numbers and pictures carved into the rocks.
2.
Count how often the items pictured in the carvings appear in the puzzle and write them down.
3.
In the number grid carved in the rock, connect the 4 numbers you wrote down to form a shape.
Solution
There are four items carved on the rock that you have to find in the picture: shark, barrel, seagull, and iguana. There are 2 sharks, 6 barrels, 8 seagulls and 4 iguanas in the picture. Connecting these four numbers in the number grid forms a diamond shape. The solution is a diamond.

Mystery 3 — Sharks

1.
Look closely at the sharks in the water.
2.
Do you see the strange marks they have on their dorsal fins? Does that mean something?
3.
Connect the markings on the dorsal fins to create a symbol.
Solution
The markings on the sharks' dorsal fins form the shape of an anchor. The solution is an anchor.

Mystery 4 — Rowboat

1.
Look closely at the rowboat on the shore. There is something missing!
2.
Can you find the missing parts with red outlining on the beach and put them together? You may wish to draw them out on paper and then cut them out to piece them together.
3.
What shape did you find? The solution is not a rectangle!
Solution
The 3 pieces of wood on the beach fit to the fourth piece on the side of the rowboat. Putting them together correctly creates a four-pointed star. The solution is a four-pointed star.

Mystery 5 — Pirate Ship

1.
Look closely at the patterned rings around the cannons on the ship.
2.
Find the patterned decorations at the stern (back) of the ship. Each is a combination of the cannon rings, except for one.
3.
Which shape appears in the pattern that does not match the cannon rings?
Solution
There are 6 different patterns at the stern of the ship. Each of them consists of 2 of the 4 cannon rings, except for one. The pattern on the lower left has rectangles in the inner ring; these are not found in any of the cannon rings. The solution is a rectangle.

Mystery 6 — Bats

1.
Look closely at the swarm of bats.
2.
Notice that some of the bats have different colored eyes than the others.
3.
Draw a line with your finger to connect the bats with the different colored eyes to make a shape.
